Salumeria Lamuri is the Kreuzberg lunch eatery you dream about at night, the place that does pasta like no other eatery in Berlin and that brings a true piece of Italian lifestyle to the capital.
Salumeria Lamuri is neither new nor a secret, this Italian salumeria has in fact been around as long as 2013 and one of the most popular lunch spots in the area. Look for Salumeria Lamuri on Köpenicker Straße close to Schlesisches Tor and plan your visit carefully, because if you show up too late for your lunch you'll have to wait in line. Salumeria Lamuri is owned by parts of the crew that used to run the mythical eatery Da Baffi in Wedding, a lovely, Italian restaurant that closed in 2015 and which we so greatly miss. Good news is that in a way Da Baffi lives on at Salumeria Lamuri and that any serious case of Da Baffi reminiscing can be cured with a lunch at this place.

The homemade pasta at Salumeria Lamuri is brilliant in every way with its deeply yellow colour, firm texture and the way its always cooked perfectly al dente. Used in iconic dishes like their Tagliatelle with butter, black truffle and parmigiano, you are buying yourself a piece of heaven with every pasta dish you order, that's how much I love it. The other food? Also brilliant, from the risottos that really, thinking about it, also seek their counterpart in Berlin, to amazing mains like the veal shank Osso Bucco and the lemon sorbet. Desserts are generally very memorable at Salumeria Lamuri and you really should think twice before you leave without a sorbet or piece of cake.
