Menu changes with the seasons are sought after, and the endless search for new and tasty is what they are looking for. You are a true team player at heart and your position is one deeply rooted in leadership and mentorship. You should have a clear head and understand where the restaurant is going and its strategy behind it.

    In this role you will be involved in supervising and building the team, you will be in charge of purchasing ans stock control as well as financial management and keep an eye on hygiene, sanitation and food safety.

    Father Carpenter is one of Berlin’s trail blazer brunch restaurants, and we opened in 2015. We are an Australian style breakfast restaurant, serving Fjord coffee and seasonal brunch in Berlin’s centre distrikt – Mitte. We focus our efforts on providing an experience to our guests that make them understand that hospitality is at the core of one’s desires – to be looked after. Our rustic table service restaurant in the stunning Blue Yard Hinterhof has a large terrace for al fresco dining in the warmer months and we seat 100 guests inside during the colder months. The Father Carpenter kitchen creates seasonal and healthy foods that nurish the body and soul, and our coffee service is considered the best in the city.

    YOU

      • Have experience in kitchen management
      • Speak fluent English and at least B1 German. Since you will be dealing with suppliers that will be necessary
      • You should have either spent time in Australia cooking or at the very least understand the workings and style of a contemporary breakfast/brunch restaurant. It must be delicious, and it must be aesthetically pleasing.

    We are open 7 days per week, and the weekends are the busiest days of the week. This means that you will work on the weekends.
