DEPUTY KITCHEN MANAGER (M/F/X) @ COOKIES CREAM

Sep 7th, 2022

  • Are you a driven, ambitious individual looking to develop your skills and career? Cookies Cream might have an exciting opportunity for you to join chef Stephan Hentschel’s team at Cookies Cream as Deputy Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef (m/f/x). If you have previous expierience and confidence in managing a kitchen and are passionate about vegan and vegetarian food look no further – this is the job for you.

    WE

Back in 2007, there were no recipes and no rules for a vegetarian fine dining  restaurant in Berlin. So we created a cuisine of our own at Cookies Cream  which is about using modern techniques of processing, as well as old  knowledge of ingredients. During growing time, we get most of our supplies  freshly harvested from our farmer in Krielow/Brandenburg. Our dishes change  with the seasons and though we have a focus on regional products, we’re  inspired by many places and their produce. During autumn and winter,  preserving and fermenting allow us to send beams from the summery fields of  Brandenburg onto our plates. Cookies Cream is ever changing and never the  same, always true to our belief in pristine products – carefully chosen,  respectfully prepared, lovingly served.

    YOU

You will help to lead a team whom you are inspired by, keeping spirits high, and focusing on goals at present. You will be the director of the menu and get a thrill from teaching the team.

    AS DEPUTY KITCHEN MANAGER YOU’LL…
    • Be a champion of brand standards
    • Cook to spec and work within brand targets
    • Lead the team to deliver top quality standards on every shift
    • Support with the training and development of the team
    • Support with stock control and ordering so you’re set up for success

    WHAT DO YOU NEED?
It takes a mixture of ingredients to make the perfect dish, and our teams are no different. You’ll…
    • Have previous experience and confidence in managing a kitchen team
    • Have a passion for hospitality (if you know, you know!)
    • Be a role model of delivering food quality and hygiene standards
    • Be a good communicator, so that the shift runs like clockwork
