Spread the curd ‘cos cheese and sherry does gouda ‘gether
Cheese Meister, Fritz Blomeyer, of Blomeyer’s Käse will showcase some of his fantastic fromages, alongside the sherry man-of-the-moment, Constantine Falk, from Weinhandlung von Eisen. The two have painstakingly spent many an afternoon, sampling the vast amount of cheese and sherry they supply in order to present you with the perfect mouthfuls.
Expect four events with cheese and sherry pairings and tales of raw milk and Andalusian grapes. We have your Winter cheese binges covered.
The Autumnal Menu:
Manzanilla Micaela, Bodegas Baron S.A & Bergkaese Uralt -18 month aged in the hills of the Sennerei Diepolz, real close to Austria
Fino; Bodega Gutierrez Colosia & Rheingauer Kristall – unpasturized dairy, aged for 18 months in Hessen and treated with Reisling
Moscatel Micaela, Bodegas Baron S.A & Blauer Schoki – a blue cheese rolled in cocoa beans.
GiG will be presenting:
– Our Sherry Cobbler. The Caipirinha of Charles Dickens time and whata crowd pleaser.
– Ode to the toasty – we will make a different cheese toasty each event. This time will be a smoked brisket and mac and cheese melt with our pink pickled onions
