Nouveau is nothing new. Year after year, people storm wine shops when the newest vintage is released. We say: let them do it. We will drink Beaujolais Crus!
Fleurie, Morgon, Brouilly – the wines that are made there and in the other seven classified locations, have more in common with the nearby Pinot Noirs from Burgundy than with the rather simple-knit cousins from their own region. Seasoned sommeliers also regularly fail to distinguish matured Beaujolais crus from matured burgundies. For us, Beaujolais remains one of the most underrated regions. It is also one of the regions where the new natural wine movement started. No wonder then, that our product range from this region has increased in the last years. Reason enough to take a closer look at the Beaujolais and its crus.
Look forward to classics like the Domaine Marcel Lapierre and newcomers like Alex Foillard.
