    I founded BFS as a hobby in 2012 and today it’s the largest and most trusted independent restaurant publication in Berlin. My goal for BFS is simple: To constantly aspire to be the highest quality and most trustworthy resource for finding the greatest restaurants in Berlin. No bullshit, a lot of good vibes and an abundance of fantastic food.

    WE

    Are looking for possible assistance with the following projects:

    • Food Tours (coordination, acquisition, client management)
    • Berlin Restaurant Jobs  (deal flow, platform maintenance, newsletter management)
    • Berlin Food Digest (creation of B2C newsletter)
    • Brand Collaborations (sponsored content, partnership management)
    • Consulting (research, assets delivery)
    • Social Media (copywriting, strategy, content)

     

    YOU

    • Have 1-3 years of work experience. Tech, agencies, media, food etc. –
    • Have some experience or are very comfortable in writing copy
    • Ideally worked with more than one of the following tools: Facebook Ads Manager, Mailchimp, WordPress
    • Are a digital native in every regard and enjoy following digital trends
    • Are a freelancer working on other projects that you also work on. This is not a full time position. Yet.
    • Are very serious about food and an experienced restaurant eater. You know your shit. Even if it’s just junk food.
    • Are a real self-starter. This is a VERY lean operation and no one is going to hold your hand
    • Fluent in English and can at least speak some German. Fluency in German is a big plus.

    As part of Lindenhaus’s exciting expansion plans and a growing in-house community, its 148 m2 ground-floor unit located between Lindenstraße and Feilnerstraße is open for a new restaurant concept to come in and take control of the space. The unit is currently accessible through the building‘s main entrance and an individual entrance is planned for the future renovations of the space.  The L-shaped structure of the unit, as well as the exposed concrete and beams, offers the potential tenant optimal design freedom in creating their own vision.

    WE

    Owned by the Berghof Foundation, Lindenhaus is home to several galleries (Nordenhake, KOW, The Helsinki School and Persons Projects) as well as the New Client Foundation. Altogether over 100 people work in this vibrant building and there are many more visitors to each of the galleries every day. This new gastronomy space is rented by the Berghof Foundation and however the location should be transformed (e.g. kitchen, terrace, partitions) depends entirely on the vision of the new tenant.

    Pending agreement, the landlord is willing to contribute to further renovation and expansion plans. These include the installation of a kitchen, enlargement of the toilet facility and basic furnishing. The extent of such renovations is dependent on both the tenant profile and contractual conditions.

    YOU

    • Have a gastronomy concept ready to launch – the most potential lies with breakfast and lunch
    • Would be interested in providing an event catering menu for in-house events/openings/workshops

Using your imagination and expertise, the role requires you to create varied weekly menus and prepare delicious lunches for our team every day – utilizing leftovers to make sure there is as little waste as possible.

    WE

    Blinkist’s cafeteria, La Cantina, serves plant-based food to a team of approx 100 people. You will replace our Head Chef who’s going on paternity leave February 1st – May 31st, 2020. You will cook with, and manage, a cook and a kitchen assistant.

    YOU

    • Experience organizing a professional kitchen, ordering food and supplies
    • Experience cooking for large groups of around 100 people
    • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to order ingredients in German
