    Are you a visionary, entrepreneurial hospitality pro? Do you have passion for hospitality, a heart of gold, and the determination of a bulldog? Gazzo Pizza is expanding to bring sourdough pizza and good vibes beyond Neukölln. Now is your chance to join an exciting and forward thinking project!

For the Operations Manager position, we are looking for a visionary leader. For the right person, there’s a chance of becoming our head of operations.

    WE

    Gazzo Pizza is a sourdough pizza restaurant, open since September 2018 in Neukölln. We believe in sourcing artisanal produce, we choose produce we love, and are transparent about it.

    We hire only super nice people. You can teach someone with a great attitude to make pizza, but it’s much harder to teach someone with a big ego to be a team player – Gazzo is only as good as the team. It’s hard work, so why not find nice people and make it fun?

    The person can expect to join a great team, with some really super people. Mikael, the CEO brings years of experience as a restaurant consultant and business guy. Matt has extensive experience as a manager at places like Soho House. Robert is an industry veteran, with several years in places like Grill Royal. Mikel is a true pizza Maestro.

    YOU

    The Gazzo Pizza Operations Manager should drive the company forward. This includes professionalizing our operations, coaching our other managers on leadership, and working on growing the company.

    Your profile:

    • Great attitude: leader and a humble team-player
    • Extensive experience in restaurant management
    • Degree in hospitality management or business is a plus
    • Strong analytical skills, and a knack for business
    • Ability to handle responsibilities and high pressure
    • Interest in culinary trends, and knowledge of Berlin’s culinary scene
    • Having lived or currently living in Berlin

    Your tasks:

    • Managing the expansion of the company, including setting up new structure, processes, etc.
    • Help formulating the company’s strategies
    • Driving new openings, and coaching the Gazzo managers
    • Making processes and procedures and following up on them
    • Planning and budgeting together with the management team
    • Cost controlling (especially labor cost and food cost)
    • Taking responsibility that the great culture at Gazzo is nurtured
