    Are you an experienced chef with a passion for sustainable, plant-based foods? Do you have the vision to lead a culinary program with a unique point of view?     As the Culinary Director, you will be developing a curated, seasonal menu with a signature visual style and working with local vendors and producers to source high-quality, ethical ingredients. You will also be responsible for leading all culinary aspects of the business and setting up strong operations in the kitchen.

    We are a pre-launch, VC backed, plant-based restaurant aiming to create a better food future in Germany and beyond. Launching in Berlin 2021, we plan to start with an elevated deli-style canteen with a focus on regional, seasonal foods that drive positive impact for consumers, the community and the environment.     • Proven experience working in a restaurant in a leadership role
    • A strong team player who can balance leading and execution without ego
    • Operational expertise and exposure to systems gastronomy is a plus

 The charming wine bar and restaurant ORA in Kreuzberg is looking for experienced and talented individuals to join the team. As a Head Chef (M/F/X) you will be overseeing the day to day running of the kitchen and kitchen team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and you’ll be running the daily dinner service as well as collaborate on the daily food menu. This is a full-time (Wed – Sun) position.

    ORA is also looking for a motivated Front of House (m/f/x) with a strong sense of warm, knowledgeable hospitality, and some wine knowledge.

    WE

    ORA is a unique wine bar and restaurant located on Oranienplatz in the heart of Kreuzberg, Berlin in a former Pharmacy. The beautiful space still features the detailed woodwork and ceiling cornices from 1860 and the 1920s. As ORA has one of the best wine lists in the city, it attracts a wine drinking crowd both locally and already internationally. The menu is a daily changing menu of modern European food, served as starters, mains and desserts, and the dishes are classic, produce driven and really choose to accompany wine. The bar menu offers light bites, snacks and small plates to share. The wine list and management is overseen by Emily Harman and the kitchen is overseen by Alan Micks.

    YOU

    Are a skilled, experienced head chef, who at the minimum has worked as a Sous Chef, but ideally as a Head Chef
    You are flexible to the needs of a smaller business, be willing to work together with the front of house and kitchen team on the overall offering and service at ORA
    Have a passion for great produce and innovating thinking and interest in sourcing high quality produce
    Are able to delegate and manage a small team of chefs
    Are able to communicate constructively with all team members
