And if you’re not one of the lucky twelve eaters here, you can also swing by throughout the day to pick up a bottle of champagne.

KANAAN

These ‘hummussexuals’ (their words, not mine) have an evening full of (you guessed it) hummus planned for 2017’s final hours. After 10 days of renovations, the Kanaan event complex will be open for this special evening, serving a seven-course set menu of Kanaan’s delicious vegan & vegetarian foods with influences from the Arabic and Israeli kitchens. Friedrichshain

MICHELBERGER

You’ll have front-row seats to the apocalyptic madness of Warschauer Strasse from the comfort of The Michelberger’s cosy candle-lit dining room. This year, Alan Micks and his team have decided to go back to where it all began for them – a la carte cooking and classic French cuisine. The menu package is 150€ per person all inclusive or 120€ for the vegetarian option, you can see the full menus and read more about the evening’s plans here.  They’ll also be DJs aplenty in both the restaurant and bar. Organising ‘the party to end all parties’ (which I fully believe these guys to be capable of), Khwan are planning amazing barbecued and smoked meats, endless booze, fireworks, bands, djs and more to bring 2017 to a close. Keep an eye on the guys’ Facebook page for more details and ticket info. Due to go live soon…

For some of the best meat in Berlin, this Italian steakhouse’s two services might be an interesting option. From 18:00-21:00 they’ll be offering a 4-course ‘Early Bird’ menu for 89€ per person, then from 21:00 onwards they’ll be opening their doors for a second service, this time including 5 courses accompanied by live music at a cost of 99€ per person. CHICHA

Feast on Berlin’s finest Peruvian food and pisco sours right by the canal. Six courses, a welcome drink and a glass of bubbly for 77 Euro? Sounds like a bloody great deal to me.

Kreuzberg

WAGNER

This brand new restaurant on Paul Lincke Ufer (ran by a part of the former Industry Standard crew) is hosting what 100% will be a very wet and casual New Year’s Eve celebration. For 25€ you’ll get sparkling wine, a cocktail and some snacks and if you want more food, you can just order it a la carte from the fantastic bar food venue.

NOBELHART & SCHMUTZIG

Def one of Berlin’s best and coolest fine-dining restaurant are offering a ten-course menu designed to put all the food you’ve eaten and all the wine you’ve drunken to shame. And with Germany’s most famous and celebrated sommelier, Billy Wagner, at the helm, you just know that this will be one hell of a NYE dinner. It’s priced at 255€ p/p for everything including beverages. Reserve: dubist@nobelhartundschmutzig.com.

BRLO BREWHOUSE

How about fondue instead? And beer, lots of beer. That’s what Berlin’s beloved BRLO Brwhouse will be serving for their Silvester celebrations, offering two different cheesy menus with unlimited sides and sauces, as well as welcome Berliner Weisse cocktail, 2 BRLO beers and water for a very respectable (max) cost of 65,00 € per person. With a DJ and fireworks also included, this might just be my new favourite New Year plan. Book your tickets and find out more here.

ORANIA

Remaining true to German tradition, Hotel Orania will be screening “Dinner for One” for it’s pre-Silvester aperitif accompanied by the tinkling of piano music and a few key dishes before you head off elsewhere.
