Berlin’s rainy summer seems to be driving everyone mad (check out #rollingpingate if you missed the latest Internet escalation). I say, why not chill out and eat your way through Berlin’s best ice cream instead? I’ve updated my Best Ice Cream in Berlin list to help you get through the insanity one icy scoop at a time. I’m also pleased to present a hell of a lot of new restaurant openings and gossip this month, and subscribers to the Berlin Food Digest newsletter received one hell of a juicy insider tip this week. Don’t worry if you weren’t signed up, you can hear weekly insider tips from on Spree Radio, or sign up to the newsletter here to make sure you don’t miss next month’s.
Berlin’s most anticipated restaurant opening since, well, ever, is finally open for business. Dylan, Christoph, Spencer and Paul will welcome you at their 12 seater counter for a 20+ course menu presenting some of the purest, produce-focused meals in the republic. Book now before the waitlist gets too long.
Asking people to #forgetyourdiet is a bold move in these health conscious times so it’ll be interesting to see how Berlin’s first Cookie Dough Bar fares over the next couple of months. First impressions? Enough sugar to kill a dog.

Rumour has it that world-renowned chef Dominique Crenn is helping develop this art space’s new event menu. That certainly caught my attention.
