Every Tuesday we sublet our kitchen to ambitious Streetfood projects to present you the best food from all over the world.
And as there is nothing better than a matching drink we also search the best pairing for each dish we present.
This week we are happy to host our first timer Ma-Makan. She will present the crazy good street food favourite in Malaysia and Singapore – Nasi Lemak.
It consists of an aromatic coconut rice infused with pandan leaves and ginger. The rice is then served with roasted peanuts, crispy anchovies, a fried egg, sliced cucumber and a home-made spicy sambal chilli paste.
This will then be served with either:
Otak Otak – a parcel of steamed fish with coconut milk, chilli, spices and egg wrapped in banana leaf.
Eggplant moju – a Sri Lanken sweet and sour side dish which pairs perfectly with the richness of Nasi Lemak.
Vegetarian and Vegans are happily catered for.
