    We are a Kreuzberg restaurant focusing on carefully-sourced seasonal produce and an assortment of wines and beers to suit our menu. We serve a five-course dinner menu which is available with wine pairing as well as advice from our sommelier.

    Our service approach is professional and friendly, and our goal is to supply an unique dining experience for each guest within a cosy atmosphere. We are a young and ambitious team who favour honest, high-quality food served in a modern, custom-designed environment. We work closely together each day to achieve this goal.

    We consider details to be important – from how we present our menu, to the music we play and which plants we choose to decorate our space.

    Hallesches Haus is searching for a Head Chef who is able to manage their multi-faceted business, including lunch with a rotating menu, private and public events, and weekend brunch. The position is suited for a chef with a high level of creativity and ideas in menu development and structuring, as well as ability to lead a team. Start date: Summer 2017.

    Hallesches Haus offers fresh food and drink options all day long in their large, light-filled dining room and are proud to work with local purveyors, using seasonal and organic ingredients, whenever possible, including Blaue Bohnen Coffee Roasters, Ökodorf Brodowin, Märkisches Landbrot, Toms Kaffeerösterei, Sironi, Menze Spezialitäten, Paper & Tea and Brlo Beer.

    YOU

    • An enthusiasm for developing seasonal menus
    • Creative thinker, willing to challenge him/herself
    • Focused on the highest level of culinary execution
    • Ability to work with, manage and develop skills within a team.
    • At least two years’ professional experience, including team leadership, is required
    • Experience with catering /private parties up to 120 pp
    • Professional and calm comportment
    • Adept at sourcing quality ingredients while staying on budget
    • Upkeep of hygiene standards and stock control
    • Can taste in a critical way
    • Availability on nights and weekends, flexible schedule
